About

Jordyn Pasiak, MA, LPC

My name is Jordyn, I am from a small, working class town in Upstate New York. I grew up watching adults around me struggle with substance use, domestic violence and poverty. I had a few shaky experiences with therapy as a teen and was resistant to the idea that it could help me. It wasnโ€™t until I opened myself up to what it can be and started to redefine for myself what I wanted from it, that I began to understand the value of therapy.

I work well with those who have reservations, nerves and are skeptical about the benefits of therapy, as I myself was that person. I was introduced to therapy always by force and never through a choice I was making. This made me distrustful of the process and the ability of a stranger being able to help me. Through the years I have spent a lot of time reassessing what therapy is and what it can be. I hope to work with clients in ways that feel empowering to them and help redefine what therapy can be.
